Cfa Collective Bargaining Agreement

Talk to The Michael Begg Chief Ward if you have specific questions about the collective or collective agreement. The CFA and the CSU management have agreed to extend the current Unit 3: Faculty contract until 30 June 2021. This committee continues to discuss issues such as the classification of scales and job descriptions. It has not yet met to amend the collective agreement. The ratification of the CFA agreement also triggers the implementation of new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the California State University Employees Union (CSUEU) and the Academic Professionals of California (APC). Under the terms of these new MOUs, members of the USC and CPA bargaining units will now receive a general salary increase of 3% on 1 July 2016 and a general increase of 2% on 30 June 2017. This regularization agreement is short, but can be confusing. If you are never sure of your right to regularization or reconquest, please contact your steward or the chief of the air. For those interested in other details: the Spring 2016 Agreement confirmed that the limitation of the basic section does not apply to the following: in spring 2016, the Joint Regularisation Committee agreed on a question of interpretation of the rules of the existing agreement. The question concerned two rules: one for triggering the regularization of non-regulars and the other for the “repection” of normal part-time faculties to a higher number of regular sections. The agreement removed a “basic section limit” barrier that prevented regularization or reinforcement if, as a result, the total number of ordinary sections in the division exceeded its “base number”.

The number of core sections is a number of sections that the administration cannot remove from a department without consulting the department. Following negotiations on the new collective agreement, the union signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Capilano University on May 23, 2015. The CFA agreement and the CSUEU agreement can be found on the CSU website. The new CEECs were negotiated on the basis of the equity clauses of the collective agreement of each working group. The CSU continues to negotiate with two other groups of workers who have ongoing collective agreements, which also contain equity clauses. Negotiations are ongoing with the Union of American Physicists and Dentists (UAPD) and the State Employees Trades Council (SETC).
